Press release
Rome, December 15th, 2023 - Merging the joy and atmosphere of Christmas with the beauty of the Eternal City, Green Line Tours introduces a new tourist route. The Hop on Hop Off bus company will take visitors to the main cultural attractions and Christmas World at Villa Borghese.
During the month of December, the tourist company has added three new stops at Christmas World to facilitate access to an unforgettable family experience. The Christmas village, with its extensive program of shows and events focused on taste and entertainment, will be easily accessible with three special stops: Stop #11 Borghese Gallery (Via Pinciana 33), Stop #11 bis Borghese Gallery (Via Pinciana 4), and Stop #7 Villa Borghese (Via Ludovisi 48).
"We are delighted to have strengthened our collaboration with Green Line Tours," says Roberto Fantauzzi, president of Lux Holding, the organizing company of the initiative. "This is an opportunity to enhance the experience of Christmas World guests. Together, we wanted to facilitate event accessibility while promoting a capital initiative in favor of sustainability and environmental responsibility."
The new stops enhance the Blue Line - Explore Museums, designed by Green Line Tours to celebrate the most famous and important places in the history of the Capital. The panoramic bus will traverse the heart of the city, suggesting must-see stops such as the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, and Castel Sant'Angelo. It will pass along the elegant and immense Villa Borghese Park, then head south towards the traditional and popular neighborhoods of Testaccio, Garbatella, and Ostiense.
"Our involvement in this significant initiative allows Green Line Tours to provide an additional service to the residents and the many tourists visiting Rome, especially during the holiday season," adds Emanuele Orlando Desideri, CEO of GLT. "We hope that this collaboration with Lux Holding marks the beginning of a series of projects focused on greener mobility and public service."
With the exceptional Hop-on Hop-Off formula, besides reaching Christmas World, visitors can choose which of Rome's great museums or monuments to explore. Depending on their interests and the time available, they can navigate modern neighborhoods or stroll along the Tiber River.
Access to the line is available by purchasing daily or preferred duration tickets, allowing one to enjoy the best of the city without long walks.
The project, realized in collaboration with Christmas World, also includes a series of benefits for those traveling with Green Line Tours: the onboard staff will provide travelers with informational flyers. When presented at the village's Ticket Office, these flyers entitle visitors to a €3.00 discount on adult tickets.
