This is not a priority entry tour. It is not possible to avoid queues to get through security at the entrance, with waiting times ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Things to know
To visit the Dome, you take the elevator up to the terrace level of the Basilica.
The tour is available every day except: Wednesdays, Sundays, and Religious holidays.
Reservation required.
The ascent to the Dome is by foot and is not assisted by the elevator. The visit, therefore, is not recommended for:
- people suffering from heart disease;
- people suffering from claustrophobia or vertigo;
- people with respiratory problems;
- pregnant women;
- people with reduced or impeded motor skills.
